I think we have to find like minded individuals and work together to inject other perspectives that most sleepers are not even aware of or are fighting against. They have the status quo in their favor but it's all crumbling. They actually endanger all our lives with their denial. Aware people say unite but they don't unite, they are not showing how to unite, so really we need to actually demonstrate what uniting looks like. But most are in their own separated silos just like the current paradigm. Same thing with teaching, it's the same paradigm being generated again.
I will share a "secret" sort of. I don't completely buy into unity. I believe in finding your tribe, learning to see what you can do to not be the problem in your relationships, but beyond that, I don't think people should continue to tolerate people who expect them to constantly give in when those who demand it never have to give in. Not giving in can't all be painted with bigotry of some kind. It's gotten absurd. I don't think people who can't share a plate of nachos should be expected to share a country. I'm with Tom Woods on this one. Let's split up the country and incentivize moving and relocating people who live in certain places to get to regions where they fit better with the dominant set of values and future vision.
Karen, I so hear you however this inspired a conversation as it cannot be explained in a soundbite and nobody is talking about these deeply embedded feelings. I don't know what you mean by "give in" but I think people like us (what's a name for us? The ungullible?) The people who think? Whatever, we have allowed the ignorant to lay claim to intelligence as though it were equivalent. And it's not and we need to call it out AS SOON AS it finishes stating a stupidity. But we have been "polite" and gone along with their convention that being polite is of the utmost importance to anything else. I mean even if a cop threatens us, we are pressured to be polite. It's the "might is right" paradigm. But I so agree with you, we need to live on the earth the way we interpret the world, not the way that the entrenched slave interprets the world. But we are very sparsely spread out over the earth. However once we start talking, that will unite us. I very strenuously disagree with you on the uniting issue as I feel this is imperative. We are useless as isolated individuals no matter how "enlightened we may think we are. That's why meditating on a mountain has done absolutely zilch for humanity. It's total self-indulgence. We are evolving now and making up for the stagnation that we've had to date. I love that you can pluck "the nitty gritty" from the issues. These are things that underlie what we see, they are the frequency element which is totally disregarded in this dumb culture. I so hate this culture and want to practice new ways even within this inverted one. And I believe we can from wherever we are. I use my time to design new social systems incorporating a low pollution footprint.
To clarify, I fully support finding tribe. That's my entire mission in life is to help people know themselves better and learn to communicate their vision and values better so as to unite with like minded people.
I just don't believe in some utopian unity where we get along with bullies and zombies.
I LOVE how you noted this compulsion to "be polite," yet you would likely agree that the moment you stated your values and vision, clearly and objectively, you'd find people (the unconscious zombies) bullying you and not being so polite. They don't have the same demand placed upon them to be polite or to be understanding or to be compassionate or to be compromising as they demand from others. They feel zero owing when such situation arises in which one has offered a step in their direction with an expectation of an equal step forward on their part. They use the words "unify" and "compromise" interchangeably to indicate the movement of *your* actions in their direction as if unity were a one way street. In fact, I have come to this realization that they believe the only reason there is no "unity" is because your independent, sovereign, free mindedness is so abhorrent and out of accord with the common way of life, common as defined only by them. You minding your own business is perceived as aggression to them.
They think their only *job* in unification is to tell you (more like bully and shame you) where you need to move and to refer to your constant capitulation to their demands as "unity" and "harmony." Once you give an inch, they declare it some mighty effort on their part, patting themselves on the back for getting you to move. For this reason, I will no longer look to unify, not so long as it means the whole of everyone finding common ground and coming together despite huge disparities in values and vision, irreconcilable differences.
Finding tribe and expanding tribe, however, I am 100% in support of. People who already have like minds, values and commonality of vision coming together is more of identification and location. We don't have to unify or harmonize with these people. We just have to find them. My mission is about discovering where your people are. You are already unified for the most part in ideas.
I'm just over the whole idea of different people of different values, mutually exclusive values trying to unify and find common ground. As I see it, this is the thinking people of the world, abdicating reason, responsibility and thought, really, abdicating thinking (who we are) for the sake of zombies so we can assimilate better with them. At least, that is how they see it. As zombies, they are incapable of reverting back to living, loving, laughing, pulsating, breathing humanity.
