I said what I said.
After over 18 months of a strong strain of flu virus which waited strangely to mutate until the moment people started getting vaccinated (you noticed that, too, huh?), people in America apparently still haven’t learned. What’s the first thing you do when you feel signs of fatigue or ill health? Load up on cookie dough, binge watch “The Walking Dead”, post on social media that you got your certificate of validation of magic cooties, down a bottle of whiskey, order in fast food with contactless delivery, run to the local cootie infested clinic to get your magic cootie test and further infect your neighbors while virtue signaling that NOW that you’ve contaminated at least 7 other families you are going to stay home for two arbitrary weeks? No, goddammit, NO! As Bob Newhart once said, “STOP IT!”
You might as well check yourself into a hospital so they can give you the latest deadly treatments that put you within earshot of the Grim Reaper.
There is a better way.
So here is my little list of what I call “hospital prevention.” If more people did these things, I’d wager everyone would be less contagious, and hospitals could treat people with symptoms that warrant their expertise.
I make a commitment not to go to a doctor unless I am hallucinating or something.
Start eating clean or FAST. No sugar, no grains and only raw dairy. Might be a good time for a juice cleanse. Limit or eliminate fruits and fruit juices. If I want vitamin C, I can do better juicing red bell peppers, making tea from rosehips or hibiscus.
Have high quality supplements and remedies on hand. I don’t wait until I start to feel sick to start ordering off this list. Seriously, a few days delivery time could be the difference between being hospitalized or not.
Zinc (I get raw, food-grade zinc from Garden of Life. It’s really cheap and bioavailable.)
Elecampane. This is in herbal form. I get it from Natural Law Apothecary in SLC. Studies of this herb show it has had amazing results with bronchitis. As soon as I feel A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G, I start making this tea and drinking it every two hours.
I set an alarm. The difference between patients in hospital care and me with my supplement kit at home is vigilance and routine. If I do one herbal thing and nothing else, I am doing myself a disservice. Vitamin C runs right through the body. I set alarms to get up and take something (including water) every two hours at least.
I have a nebulizer which at the first signs, I carefully dilute food grade H2O2 and inhale. I also add colloidal silver to my nebulizer. I just started using diluted essential oils in it as well. All are fantastic.
Food Grade H2O2. I put a little in my water to drink and some in the nebulizer and if it comes to it, a dropper full into my neti pot.
Colloidal Silver. Same as H2O2. I also use this to rinse ears and eyes.
Neti pot. I don’t know how people live without these. I don’t use it often, but when I do, I can be rid of my sinus infection in hours.
Raw honey. Organic is good. Raw organic is better. Raw organic manuka is best. I add this to distilled water and clear up any eye issues in SECONDS. Pink eye go bye bye.
Grapefruit seed extract. This is nature’s antibiotic. Some people are nervous about the heavy metal aspect of silver and prefer grapefruit seed extract. I find for myself both seem to kill the bad bacteria without decimating the beneficial bacteria population. This is one of the first things I do for sinus infections. put ten drops of it in my neti pot with salt and distilled water. I rinse every two hours. Once the burning sensation is gone during the rinse (2nd or 3rd time in the day) I believe the infection is abated.
Vitamin C as sodium ascorbate. I am of the Suzanne Humphries C protocol camp. You can look it up.
I make my own elderberry syrup using elderberries, raw honey, elecampane, astragalus, echinacea, cinnamon, ginger, clove and rosehips. You can use the same ingredients in a tea. With my elderberry syrup though, I simmer it for hours, add more water, simmer for more. I literally simmer the fuck out of it.
Essential oils. I can put some on my feet at night if I feel a tickle in my throat, wake up the next morning and I’m as good as new! If I wake up icky in the first place, I apply oils namely tea tree, immune blend, thyme, oregano, orange and cinnamon as frequently as my symptoms are coming on. It might be aggressive so I may set my clock for every hour. I also diffuse lemon and geranium in whichever room I decide to hang out.
Positive input. I have become more careful when I start to feel off that I am not adding to those feelings by exhausting myself or watching shows that in any way feel yucky (horror, suspense, drama). I try to stick to “feel good” viewing or reading material and weather permitting, will lounge outside in the sun.
I only get diagnosed if I am certain the diagnosis will assist me in my treatment protocol. As I see it, hospitals are busy enough. They don’t need someone in there to get tested for something they can’t even treat. It’s just me with cooties walking into a place where already sick people do not need the further assault to their immune system.
Rest. Do I really care about others? YES! That’s why the first thing I do when I get sick is lay down and stay away from people. I don’t run to a crowded doctor’s office waiting room to get a test to prove to myself that I feel like shit. DUH!!! If I feel like shit, I don’t need a fucking certificate of validation. I am not sure what the world is coming to, but it seems like the present social value of this validation is estimated much higher than its worth.
Alright, so, there it is. I have a bunch of other little things I do like chewing on raw astragalus, munching on dry rosehips as a snack and making a liver detox dandelion tea. But, the basics are here for you to stock up on and keep yourself and your family healthy and well.
I hope this inspires someone out there to stock up and stay healthy! Remember, your health is your responsibility, but the best thing you can do for the health of others is to first and ALWAYS be responsible for yourself!
