I keep going over all the reasons I can think of not to have hope or happiness, in general but particularly in the last 30 or so days of the Trump administration doing something government in its history has never done effectively: attack corruption. All I can come up with to answer that question is this stupid belief that hoping for something good to come of an election and putting eggs in your own basket are somehow mutually exclusive.
Rip off the band aid, kiddos. It’s never been exclusive.
Shame on anyone who is not bettering himself and shame on anyone who runs around spreading fear and doom. You both suck for no fucking reason.
Very few people are running around not bettering their situation intentionally because they believe Trump is going to save them. Probably no one. So, that is probably the most idiotic misrepresentation of all time. Anyone resting on their laurels at work or home was going to do so regardless of whom won the latest election. And shame on their folly if that is the case, but I assure you, most who have not started their own off grid farm are doing so because they cannot afford to feed themselves, much less a flock of hens. And most of you doomsdayers don’t have a hobby farm either. Just sayin’.
There are many of you running around telling yourselves this ridiculous story that anyone with hope is being lulled into personal complacency and then, you’re going out of your way to constantly reinforce this idea to anyone in your proximity (who happens to notice that for the past 30 days the current administration has done some good things) that nothing good in government is happening right now. That’s a big, bald-faced lie. If you’re acting like you are doing everyone some kind of white knight solid by telling us it’s all a ruse and to kiss our ass goodbye, just fuck off. That’s absolutely absurd. But while I have your attention, someone should tell you how that behavior looks on a grown up.
Like, if we are all getting AI’d into oblivion or the economy is going to collapse or if a million dystopian scenarios you assure us are coming to pass anyway, no matter how much hope we have, how does that help me want to try to survive? It’s really something that y’all are telling us these evil agendas are impossible to survive no matter who we vote for. Pick a line. The loudest preachers of “inconsistency” never can get their own stories straight. Have you considered laying off the black pills or is it an addiction at this point?
I do think it’s always in our interest to be more self reliant, however we can, but it’s also important to stay positive, in ourselves and even in every good and honest tiny thing government may do (inadvertently or otherwise).
This assumption that because you notice good shit happening, you’ve become a slave or a statist or a sycophant is retarded. It’s just a way to misrepresent anyone who notices good because you have become addicted to darkness and you honestly believe that ingratitude is virtuous if it comes to government.
What was the commandment again? “In all things give thanks-except for government shrinking in any way.” Yeah, I think you are embellishing. It’s not good enough for you that it shrinks, because then, you’d have to eat your words after all those times you said government shrinkage would never happen. (Boo hoo) For you, it must cease to exist, and even then, you won’t be grateful because it should never have existed in the first place. We know you and the stories you tell. While you are at your game of attacking Christians for having hope, faith and joy in God about government, (and misrepresenting it as hope or joy in government as God) the prodigal son should have never left home, either. The tough times that befell you shouldn’t have happened because God doesn’t let bad things happen, and if bad things do happen, you have a out for finding things to be grateful for. Sorry, cookie. You still praise God when something goes right. When God uses a Zaccheus to spread his message or do the right thing, you still give God the glory.
And for heaven’s sake, you ingrateful, prodigal children, stop calling anyone who notices good or praises God for the short reprieve in the cycle of nonstop evil, “Trump worshippers” while free-basing your black pills. You do realize we see where you are and that you are clutching your lighter and spoon.
It’s quite evident you fear that the government doing anything good or otherwise that might prove you wrong would hurt your ego.
How about this? So what if they do some good before they go back to doing evil? If they were only ever going to do evil anyway, what have you lost by appreciating the small wins? Your pride?
How small wee-wee energy is it to be too proud to be grateful for small things because you’re afraid of being wrong or being let down when they go back to doing bad things? Or do you fear your friends might be disappointed? What?! Do you actually believe no one is as smart as you to have figured out that most of the time the government is disappointing?
Oh, here’s an experiment! What if you asked the question- “what if they keep doing tiny good things?” How will that hurt you?
Just curious. Where on the doll has this question hurt you? And if you point to the groin, I assure you, nothing is there to be hurt by it.
Thank you for this. It really is incredibly tiresome and demoralizing. We're all guilty of it to some degree, especially libertarians and those of us recovering from it. 😬 Past, present and impending doom is pretty much all I know lol. I did not expect this bull-in-a-china-shop behavior from Trump, nor for Vance to command my attention quite like he has. Thus far, I was wrong and happy to admit it. I'm obviously not gonna get everything, or probably even a fraction of what I want out of the next 4 years but my vote was well worth it already.
