Last Prayer Before Wednesday
Prayer About Inspiration April 19, 2022
The word “inspire” conveys a picture of being breathed from within. God makes my heart to beat, my lungs to process air and my stomach to metabolize nutrients from plants and animal matter. God does that.
I am always inspired, breathed by God making my chest rise and fall with each breath. I know inspiration is always with me, filling my body with life giving elements and nutrients, and my mind with food for thought. I never cease to breathe or to think. These inspired ideas are always with me so long as I am open to them.
Today, I am open to receive. I allow the involuntary process of being Divinely inspired to course through me. I take this inspiration into every cell of my body, and I give thanks. I know that all of this can happen without any thought of mine and absent my conscious collaboration. God is happening here with or without me awake or aware. Just as I continue to breathe when I sleep, my heart would beat even if my mind were completely unconscious or in a coma. My mind will have God’s inspiration even when I am unaware of it.
I release this Word with gratitude knowing I can relax and let the Maker restore my mind. It is all good.
And so I say, “Amen.”
