Cancel ABC and Other Corporate Funded Media
It's not just the press getting it wrong and perpetuating false narratives.
Last November, my family moved into a new house, but before we unpacked, we discovered that our property managers wanted to release us from our lease, return our deposit and send us looking for a new property at a loss of the $1600 we spent on trucks, movers and packing materials. It was an absolute fiasco. I still have some major stress responses from having our living situation feel so unstable during a time of ill physical health and loss of income after losing what was my husband’s best paying job to date due to covid restrictions.
While I sat, literally in limbo, wondering if we were staying in our house or shipping out to homelessness, in all that stress, I decompressed by binge watching the newly released first season of Alaska Daily from ABC on HULU. The show followed a responsible journalist who went after the war machine and was set up to fail with an ureliable source. Out of work and disgraced in the public eye, she moved to Alaska and started investigating the story of a missing girl while digging into opportunities to redeem herself. During this transition, she was being stalked by an angry “concerned citizen” for what? We don’t know. The midseason finale ended with this mystery stalker finally cornering her in her office alone after hours.
Cut to black.
The show took a very long holiday break. It ended on November 22nd and didn’t air again until the first week of March. I sat down to watch it this week with great anticipation, but…
It was gross.
It was insulting. In a world consumed with not offending the woke victim class, this plot was off-base and offensively so to a true victim class that have been threatened, lost livelihoods, struggle to feed their children, lost businesses, lost loved ones to suicide and have lost their homes or, like our family, have been brought to the brink of homelessness on account of blatant, easily refutable lies about what creates public health.
After 3 years of utter failure to recognize a single fact, negligence in unbiased reporting, blatant lies and suppression of data aided and driven, with and by the corporate funded media, this show is pinning “misinformation” on independent journalists who refute corporate narratives.
The main character in the show is being targeted for a hate crime because of alleged, “dangerous misinformation” of independent media with the culprit being an almost exact likeness of essentially Alex Jones. Alex Jones is the “boogie man” apparently of the corporate funded media. His likeness, despite what the media may tell you, is used in other drama series as the ultimate bad guy. For example, the popular Showtime series “Homeland” had a main character with the same classic Alex Jones growl and his exact vocal cadence who had orchestrated a violent attack on a newly elected Democratic President for at least two whole seasons. The Alex Jones boogie man is a cliche and a tool used to blame Americans for the demise brought upon us by the corporate media.
You did this to yourselves by listening to fake news provocateurs who informed you of all the lies we were telling. If you hadn’t listened you’d still have lost your jobs, your kids would be vaccinated. You’d still have Covid, probably worse than the unvaccinated- but you wouldn’t know that. You’d still have supply chain shortages- But you wouldn’t blame us. You’d blame a virus. You wouldn’t be angry at us- Because you’d be ignorant. And because you are informed of what we did to you, we are terrified of what you might do about it. Mostly, that you might ignore us into obscurity. Because, in all honesty, we don’t care about our frontmen journalists. We care about our corporate sponsors, and their bottom line depends on you watching and trusting. But we need to keep you afraid of yourselves, so we pretend in our dramas that you’d take it out on the figureheads of our operation, the pigeons, and that we care if that happens. Not because we do. In fact, we hope you will so we can frame you as terrorists and those who still believe us will believe anything we tell them. Making you their public enemy #1, for having the hubris to know what’s really going on, THAT is our agenda.
Shitty, corporate journalists and wimpy politicians are not a victim class.
But this mischaracterization of who are the real threats to Americans and “democracy” is all utter nonsense. Alaska Daily is ironically airing in the same week when the January 6th “investigation” supported again by corporate funded media is being obliterated by Tucker Carlson Tonight. Here’s a tiny snippet of Tucker’s footage.
Like I said, this is merely a fragment of Tucker’s investigation. Tucker has summarily exposed the entire “insurrection” theory, its so-called investigation and subsequent hearing as a totally manipulative fabrication done to politicize and polarize the public into turning on one another.
What’s really behind the framing of January 6th as an “insurrection”?
The more I look into it, the more I am convinced that whole bogus notion of an “insurrection” seems to have stemmed from the state’s desire to sanction suppression and retaliation of its political apostates. They’ve been passing laws and allowing government to target anyone with viewpoints outside of its own highly edited, cherry-picked and biased narrative as “terrorists” or “insurrectionists.” At the same time, releasing and supporting their own insiders.
While Tucker’s program does currently air on FOX, I should point out that the majority of FOX News Network continues to peddle the same public endangering narratives supported by the rest of corporate funded media. I suspect FOX will eventually drop Tucker for his non partisan, anti warmongering and sensible reporting to be picked up by a more integrity based platform such as Spotify who currently hosts Joe Rogan or go rogue like Alex Jones and Russell Brand. That prediction remains to be seen.
The main point here is that even popular television dramas are disingenuous at best and anti-American (I mean of the people of America) at worst.
Whenever I see these disgusting cliches portraying those who were put out of jobs, committed suicide or lost their homes as the bad guys in America attacking the poor victim media pundits, I roll my eyes. The journalists in modern times being “attacked” are being attacked with words on social media. Meanwhile, they jet set around to thousand dollar per plate political fundraisers on the public dime in most cases and cry “bully.” After getting slammed online, the news will often come to these journalist’s aid with reports blowing these cases up as if literal violence was incited against journalists through the internet (more than the usual threat of choosing to be in the public eye). When in reality, it merely hurt their feelings (and more importantly, exposed their lack of credibility and their vacuous holes where journalistic integrity should have been).
I think the media has just gone soft.
When, outside of independent media, was the last time you saw a report from inside a literal war zone? Corporate funded media gets psuedo “reliable sources” from inside a war zone that report what is alleged to be happening there. Children in a poverty stricken zones of Syria, children in regions where there are 0% English speakers have been alleged to tweet out photos from these war zones with captions voiced in perfect English and in American dialect telling a tale that supports a military industrial complex narrative. I don’t buy it. Completely grassroots funded, independent journalists such as Eva Bartlett show up to these war zones and smash the bogus headline news stories to pieces with facts based on first hand accounts and evidence. But to many corporate funded journalists, she’s the boogie man. She’s their alleged purveyor of “fake news.” She’s their “sold out,” “scary,” “Russian asset.” She lives in a tiny log cabin in the forest on the meager salary afforded by her journalistic integrity while those who attack her reside on 6 figure salary afforded lofts on The Hill. Who really sold out?
Donald Trump was investigated for inciting the public to commit “violent insurrections” also allegedly spurred on by the likes of Alex Jones in the “dangerous” independent media, but no incitement charges against the characters who literally bragged about inciting violence on January 6th and whom we can see in all evidence were actually provoking going “into the capitol” IN THEIR OWN WORDS! Here’s Ray Epps who has never been charged. The crowd around him knows why.
One of them, an obvious agent provocateur who claims he’s BLM one minute, ANTIFA the next but when accused of anything he has been involved with criminally, claims he’s just an unbiased journalist not associated with any of those organizations and is “just there to document.” John Earle Sullivan, sold his footage to CNN and NBC for over $90k after which, he got a guest spot on Anderson Cooper immediately following the protest. He contends he’s just a journalist, but his own video shows him actively INCITING INVASION OF THE CAPITOL while carrying a knife and as of this post, he is out of jail. He announced on FB within the last 13 hours that he just hit 100K followers unironically in the same post he alleges to be “in Ukraine” (he’s obviously not) currently promoting the US agenda to send your grocery money to manufacture of weapons to be delivered therein. Here’s your REAL independent media boogie man inciting violence, ABC, insurrection investigation committee, anyone, Bueller??? He was writing a book on “house arrest” two years ago, capitalizing on the tragedy he egged on.

Essentially walking free.
Why aren’t these guys being held on charges specifically of incitement or insurrection? Who are they working for? What are their past records?
More importantly, when will the hypocrisy end?
I’m sorry, ABC, but just about everything regarding Covid happened because your darling, “victim” media suppressed facts leading to good people losing their jobs and businesses, people who did NOT work for munitions factories. These policies targeted mom and pop businesses that prop up all Americans. Bad businesses, corporate moguls and particularly military contractors were considered part of the government aided, protectionism class of so-called “essential” businesses.
Who got to decide what was essential?
When did feeding one’s family by working at a restaurant who didn’t do take-out or a factory that manufactured baby formula become less essential and more dangerous to the public than weapons manufacturers?
All of the loss of lives, livelihoods and homes occurred as a direct result of failed, flawed and unquestioned economic policies done in the name of unquestioned, unobserved “public health” recommendations but which your journalists promoted fervently.
These policies lead to the worst economic, education and health outcomes in regions where they were most strictly employed and enforced. And subsequently, the best outcomes where they were least enforced, like where I live, in Utah.
And now, as we have supply chain issues leading to increased cost on basic necessities such as food and water as a direct result of these failed policies, you run a show about a guy losing his job because weapons manufacturing went down due to responsible journalism. “That’s the risk of responsible journalism.”
Fuck YOU!
In what world has that ever happened?
You have broken the suspension of disbelief. You jumped the shark.
There’s no supply chain shortage in sending weapons to Ukraine.
No, I don’t intend this post to “target” your lousy show nor do I speak in any way that could be interpreted as inciting any more than that consumers turn off their TVs and stop watching your backwards, nonsensical, garbage programs.
My intention is just to expose them.
The corporate sponsored media from sitcoms to the press have proved they aren’t qualified to work in the field. They are the worst purveyors of misinformation. Your journalists and your shitty attempt at supposedly “fact based” fiction should be ignored into obscurity from here on out. It was a good show until you killed it with lie-based, fake-news-based fiction. Yes, it is redundant, but it’s your network that should be made redundant. Sadly, average American households are paying the price for the failures of corporate funded media.
Needless to say, that episode wasn’t just a flop. It was an insult.
Your lies took our jobs, and now your fiction paints us for villains for saying so.
I refuse to watch the rest of the season. You knocked us down, and then you kicked us in the face. You want to know who is sending people to hacks in independent media (and there are some) like Stew Peters? It’s bigger hacks like you, ABC and FOX and MSNBC and the corporate funded media complex who haven’t met a war or a munitions manufacturer they haven’t supported in over 15 years.
“But for pretensies, let’s say our reporters actually cared.”
Well, for realities, they don’t give a fuck.
We have the receipts!
Furthermore, we’re not giving you the violent incitement or insurrection you are looking for so you will have to go on dressing up actors to play “good Americans” to do your dirty work. If that is too obvious, insert your false pre-text into fiction. Go ahead. You’ll just lose viewers.
We aren’t playing your game, and we won’t watch it, either.
The infotainment arm of the official religion is producing such vomitroceous garbage that I’m highly suspicious when anyone tells me something is “actually really good” and it still almost always comes with the caveat that you have to ignore the smears and lies and innuendos.
