I decided to share my life as a model for what to do, what not to do, you name it. Let my life be a great example or a terrible warning. Different times, different situations, things are what they are. We are human. We try, and we fail sometimes. Technically, if we are doing something creative or innovative, we are failing most of the time until we figure out how to do it. Hopefully, we are failing forward.
I share. I could even be called and over sharer, but if someone learns something (besides not to over share) from my situation, it’s not over sharing. It’s teaching. You can learn from my mistakes, even if I don’t. Otto Von Bismark said, “A fool learns from his own mistakes but a wise man learns from the mistakes of others.” If we all hide our mistakes, we can’t complain about living among a bunch of fools.
I am putting this out here today because I share what I have learned, the easy way and the hard way through writing, teaching videos, etc. I continue to learn and find people I trust who are also striving to fail forward to learn from and grow with. I intend to keep growing and keep sharing along the way. I don’t really want to make content hidden or stash it behind a paywall. Again, if I hide the mistakes I made that helped me to grow behind a paywall, I would have no right to complain about stupid people. I like to complain about stupid people. I want to retain those rights. Hahaha! Kidding, kind of.
Anyway, if you feel you are receiving a value, learning from what I share, please consider being a contributor to this Substack. I set it up so you can start a subscription as low as $9 per month. I don’t want or need charity. I am talking about value for value contribution. I appreciate you for taking this time to consider that. This will remain a free subscription blog for as long as I can afford to write it and don’t have to go do something else. Them’s the facts.
Also, if you get value from it and feel it might help someone else out, share it! I appreciate that in advance as well. Of course, writing all of this is nothing without people to write it for. I like masturbation, but there’s more enjoyable ways to masturbate. Just want to thank you all for seeking to learn from my life and experience in some way. Thank you very much!
So… Ha! On that note, how about an affirmative prayer for today?
Prayer About Order, April 13, 2022
I know that the entire of the Universe is mapped out and orderly. I see that cataclysmic situations in the cosmos happen rarely. Astronomers may spend lifetimes looking in the sky and never see one. There’s a reason. Most everything has enough space wrapped around it to cushion objects from bumping into each other. So, too, life can be seen in this way. Life is full of space. There’s always enough space and time to do what needs to be done, to pause, to take a breath, to be quiet and to notice the vastness of the atmosphere around the earth. It goes on and on seemingly forever. There’s enough space and time to maintain peace and order.
Just as God mapped out the Universe in this way, I, too, can follow this example and arrange my life with plenty of space and order. I can remind myself hourly by setting a timer to just take a minute to breathe and contemplate. Even if only for 5 seconds, I can realize the spaciousness of the cells and molecules and atomic particles in my own body. I see, that in saying those words, “the spaciousness of the cells and molecules and atomic particles in my own body” it took me less than 5 seconds to feel the awe of that space and order inside me.
I know that by consciously perpetuating a focus on space, time and order in this expansive way, by feeling it in my own mind and body and by bringing it home on a practical level, I can start to create space in my routines, in my home and in my relationships. I create my life and identity from this peaceful, awe inspiring and expansive space. And I am doing just that, right here and now.
I welcome space and order with gratitude. My life takes on a new order as clutter and apparent chaos seem to dissipate into the nothingness of errant thought from which they were created. I am so grateful I can apply this order in a systematic way and immediately feel the benefits of it. I now declare that Order is an essential part of my life and all life, indivisible from who I am at the very core of my being. I release this Word into Divine unfoldment knowing that this will carry me forth in space, expansiveness and the reigning peace accompanying natural order henceforth. I accept this gift and say with gratitude, “and so it is!”
Amen.
