I keep seeing people saying that they are canceling their HBO subscriptions when they have finished watching the series, The Anarchists. Well, me, too. I finished watching after Episode 3, and I canceled my subscription before the release of Episode 4. I can’t bring myself to watch this dumpster fire burn any longer. You are not getting a part 2 of my Episode 3 review where I walk through examples of propaganda and missing context throughout the series step-by-step.
I still have access to HBO until the 11th of August.
So… I just finished watching The Nevers which has turned out to be a dystopian future fiction story even though it started out in the past. I love it. I hope they release another season soon.
Tonight, I am watching more of His Dark Materials. This is another dystopian future fiction/fantasy series, bringing up such questions as what do we truly value: an individual life or a projected or prophesized negative outcome for the collective if that sacrifice isn’t made?
I have actually enjoyed my HBOMax subscription. I would subscribe again and give them my money to watch more seasons of a multitude of their hit shows. I just won’t pay them for another episode of The Anarchists. I refuse to financially support some trashy, propaganda show trying to make anarchists look scary in the eyes of the general public.
I really struggled to watch Episode 3. Each episode seemed to get worse as far as the propaganda was concerned. By the evening of the premier of Episode 3, I had been watching something else as the series went live, and I recall sitting on my couch struggling with myself to change the channel. This was a drastic change from 2 weeks prior. With Episode 1, I was so excited to watch. The fact was that by the end of the second episode, I already felt like I was watching a homework assignment. It was like in public school, when I was giving answers on tests that I knew were bullshit, but I filled in the wrong answer just to get good marks knowing it was technically wrong. Similarly, I hate watching movies that happen around various banker wars now that I realize how much of those shows are full of lies and propaganda to promote a culture of war. Watching The Anarchists by the end of Episode 2 already felt like that. Episode 3 infuriated me with how blatantly the propagandized narrative was that was being foisted on the public. They should have called Episode 3: We’re All Racists And Drug Dealers Now.
I get it. It’s all real footage. But how many hours do they keep telling me it is? 6000 hours of footage? Do you really believe that every minute of it was that negative and shitty? I don’t. It’s disproportionately trashy. So, please, spare me the story of how they couldn’t include all of it. It’s 12 hours of people living on their own terms by choice without government with people who understand the facade of lies most people accept from day to day. At least half of it should have been happier, more awakened and more wholesome.
I kept thinking, if I were a close friend that I think is on the verge of giving up government and just needing that little push, how would I feel after watching this series? The answer is: thanking God for government. That’s not because I, as an anarchist don’t understand something. It’s because this show was done in such a way as to scare the shit out of potential defectors. And, I’m certain it’s working. Tested and proved, verifiable facts. The average viewer doesn’t see what anarchists and those who are close to the film, the people in it or the conference are looking at. The show is effective at making anarchists look less relatable than they usually seem.
I was even told that the people in this show are somewhat unrelatable. That’s bullshit. When I first became an anarchist, many of the people in this show are some of the very first anarchists I encountered, and it was before the murder that I befriended them via social media. Every single one of them sounded way more enticing and amazing than this piece of trash, totally edited to the point of losing all decent context series makes them seem to the general public.
For weeks, I’ve been trying to describe this in comment sections, on my FB page or in my blogs. Total waste of time.
It turns out, people with a preconceived bias towards their friend’s show being a hit and them getting famous for flashing acrossed a TV screen for a millisecond, they don’t give a fuck that they are part of or defending something that is working against their desire to ultimately live in a land where anarchy is more widely accepted. They don’t care that their dream is a little further away because of this series. Moreover, the one thing this program highlights is that being forced to associate with a tiny group of villagers means that it’s slim pickings when it comes to those with whom you may associate therein. This results in more fights, more arguments and more bitterness over the fact that your choices are a bunch of losers you don’t really relate to or statism. The way out of the fiasco that created the problems in Acapulco that surround this series is to recruit a larger variety of better, healthier and more self-sustaining, happy anarchists. We need to find people who hold more of the values and the vision we hold for the future. We need to attract more people to anarchy who are looking for real freedom in their hearts and minds, not a free ride to the next event or free magic mushrooms. The Anarchists does the opposite of that. If it appeals to anyone, it’s that throng of people following and supporting Danielle Bregoli after her “cash me ousside” appearance on the Dr. Phil Show.
So… where does this leave me? Well, I am putzing through technical issues to get the backend of my website working tonight (while watching TV) in order to launch my Find Your Tribe Workshop. It’s designed to not only help people find anarchists to lean on for support, friendship and guidance, but to find good ones who will lead to loving, supportive, harmonious and enduring relationships for a lifetime of happiness and success.
If all goes well, you’ll see notifications as early as tomorrow to explain how to sign up for this groundbreaking course on boundaries as well as strengthening and attracting strong personal relationships.
In the meanwhile, I highly recommend you stay tuned into what makes you feel good, what resonates with your values and what brings you closer to your vision for your life. This is how humanity as a whole evolves to a point of well-being that leads to the realization of rejecting governments worldwide.
Be well and good, sovereigns!
